The month long campaign covered 400+ leading colleges across top 50 cities of the country, where students participated through campus engagements and via social media. The highlight was the opportunity to win free trip to Tomatina Festival. LPU Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal congratulated the winner-student and advised him to keep up such a buoyant and winning spirit.

Business Head of Vodafone India, Rajat Avasthi congratulated the winner and informed that the competition was organized to engage the youth of the country as per their aspirations. This provided students unforgettable opportunity to create memories for a lifetime and enjoy the coveted trip. He said: Targeting the socially active and increasingly demanding Indian youth, Vodafone ran the campaign with the intention of engaging youth on topics that matters to them most like friends, music, fashion, health and entertainment among others.
La Tomatina Festival is held every year on the last Wednesday in the month of August. The highlight of the festival is the tomato fight, that is, tomatoes throwing on one another in bulk & pulp form. During this, an hour-long celebration, many thousands of participants from across the world get smeared with tomato-pulp. Near 175 ton ripe tomatoes are offloaded into the crowd of people packing all the streets of a small town Buol (Valencia) in eastern Spain. The event has become one of the highlights on Spains summer festivals calendar. This paid-entry event was inspired by a food fight between local children in 1945 in the tomato-producing region.
Illustrative, to stand a chance to win this grand prize, the participants had to just click a GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) with their gang at specially created Vodafone U experience booths, which were set-up in select colleges. Then they had to share the GIF on social media and tag friends with #FunWithU@Vodafone. The participant whose GIF got the maximum likes had to stand a chance to win an all-paid trip to Spain.
